Strength and determination are words that pale in comparison to what Emily Miller is made of. What most of us fear most is precisely what Emily endured at the start of the Covid pandemic in early 2020 – she was hospitalized with a life-threatening condition and had to endure it without her loved ones allowed in the hospital. Her healing journey led her to self-expression and the reclamation of motor skills with crafting, and connecting to her loved ones in new and interesting ways. Her story is one of extreme difficulty, but the hope she exudes is truly moving.
